Opening a brief dialogue concerning the swelling of plastic parts in the fuel stream. My own limited observations: 1. Float valve strainers that friction fit onto the valve seat become quite loose and can disconnect themselves. 2. On a 1986 VF500F the in-tank strainer expands to the point it cannot be removed. Remove these parts from the fuel for a day or so and they return to specs and fit beautifully...until you fuel back up... Thoughts, anyone?
