I have had my forks rebuilt 6 months ago. The chrome had been hacked by a twat with multigrips (I suspect).

Anyway the guys who rebuilt them and tried to polish the chrome as much as possible.

Just went for rego and the seals are starting to weep.

    My options are:

    - re-chrome
    - get new cylinders (I have been told you can get the chromed cylinder after market for a reasonable price)

Does any one know where I can get replacement cylinders (only the chromed upper part of the forks)?

Maybe you could also tell me the correct name for them as well if you feel charitable ;)

Man I am disappointed that only 6 months ago they were rebuilt.

It is a blow but I just have to suck it up and get it sorted properly..

    Any ideas gents?

Ebay? I call em Fork tubes, maybe Fork Stanchions? Good luck. Next time you can take a pair of the wifes panty hose and run it up and down the chrome to determine if its smooth enough. Just dont let her catch yah! Cause then she will hit yah with a skillet! Cheers
