    Hi guys,
My rescued '89 VFR 750 FK had a wrecked lock in the fuel cap. I bought a replacement, but the cap surround has larger bolts and a slightly larger circumference to the holes. The new cap is the same as a number of models. I suspect the tank might not be off this model, but am unable to find a match to the original on the bike. Modifying the new cap, I could punch the roll pin and put the new centre in the old surround, but am hoping there is a new one available somewhere.

    Cheers :) 20200504_135411_1024x768.jpg

Is the center cap the same size.
there should be two small phillips head machine screws that hold the actual cap to the hinge.
Can you just unscrew those and move it to the original mounting ring and hinge?

Haven't seen the phillips head screws, but I could change it if I knocked out the roll pin hinge as they look the same.
