After returning yesterday from an eight-day, 3,400-mile Southwest desert drive in one of the cages, I decided to go for a wee 130-mile round-trip dash on the motorsickel for a cold one--from Ballard, Seattle to Shelton and back. My spot is a good BBQ-joint (Mo's in Shelton, WA); since I had my new, already-beloved Givi XS311 (nice tankbag), I decided to tote BBQ home for dinner. Two styrofoam takeout containers fit perfectly. Longest I've ever gone for take-out. Killer ferry ride home, too.

Well, I set out for a 20-mile jaunt at 4, and decided last minute Shelton was to be it, a very weird destination from Ballard. Also treated it as a shake-down ride, to ensure nothing fell off after having the thing completely apart! Will call next time.

There's a pizza place that we use to go to that is now 56 mile away and I'll sometimes go there to grab their Antipasto salads, which are actually a meal to themselves. I've done this a few times and most of the time it's just for the salads.

OOTV, have you tried Tony's Little Italy in Placentia? Awesome deep dish, IMHO!

Doesn't sound familiar. I'll let the wife know as we have been looking for a good deep dish pizza. We have a few Italian places on our rotation but always good to have a few new ones to try.

Good question, and an interesting one, as any take out better be able to handle the ride back. Me, it was hitting up the XXX in Issaquah bringing back their one of corn dogs, only a 150 mile round trip, but damn that Seattle traffic.

I made a run to Wal*Mart this morning after jonesing for some collards. Round trip aboot +/- 15 miles. My Wal*Mart has a Subway sandwich joint inside but I wouldn't even want gaytor greg to try one of those.

Slabbing it to Issiquah? That Tacoma traffic can be a bitch too.

Unfortunately it was slabbing it. Not only Tacoma, but McCord and Ft Lewis, other wise known now as JBLM. SMH....

Did somebody give you a book on acronyms? I feel like I'm reading military documents, Trumptwits or a teenybopper with flying thumbs with a 150 peso a month cellphone.

Seems as though a few years back the Feds decided to have the two military bases under one heading, " Joint Base Lewis McCord. in that you have JBLM . I still call it Fort Lewis and most of the Millenniums go, Huh? where's that?
