    Hi,

I’m new to this forum and pretty new to my awesome VFR. She’s been perfect so far but today the starter fuse burnt out (three times). What’s concerning is that the bike was running (luckily parked) and when the fuse blows, the bike cuts out. Makes me wonder what’ll happen if I was actually riding!

I think I’ve isolated the issue to the two wired plugs that are just beneath the starter assembly. They were squashed and somehow causing the short.

    Two questions:
    1. Does anyone know what these two plugs are connected to?

    2. And has anyone had this issue?

Hi, yeah the fuse that kept blowing was the starter/bake light fuse. I'd already lifted the bar a bit and it does seem to have worked. Concerning that the engine cuts our from the short though! And also weird that pressure on those points causes a short.

    Thanks for your response.

Welcome Daveboy29, hope your issue is sorted. Haven’t had this issue with my bike but will check the positioning of these wires in case. Currently at 30,000 trouble free km. Where in Oz are you located?

Hi. Thanks for the response. Glad that you’ve had a trouble free experience so far! I’m in Adelaide. How about you?
