Got the pics in my gallery for those interested.

Easy using the RAM mounts, no mods or messing around as it bolted straight up.

Nice, small and portable unit so easily taken off the bike when not in use.

    Gps

Never had a Gps ; planning on lotsa miles this year hopefully from NB Canada to Maine ; NH and Vt ; as well as the awesome Cabot trail seaside ride this summer. How practical are they ?

Please classify your definition of practical?
IMO practicality is why i got this unit.
Easy to mount, easy to remove and remount.
Good battery life when off power.
Small, easy to take with you when away from bike.
I plan my route/s beforehand so the small buttons on the unit is of no consequence, Garmin has the Zumo 550 which is a dedicated bike unit if you want a bigger screen and buttons.

I use the Zumo. It is really cool. It is my first experience with gps. Now I am addicted.

I like your ram mount piece that attaches to the gas tank bolts. Any chance you know the name or part number for that?

Also, I ended up mounting my gps using a long bar and extension so that it is higher in my cockpit. Now my eyes do not have to go as far from the road to view the screen. Something you might want to try some day. I'll try to post photos in the near future.

My dad just bought a Quest 2. Should be pretty handy when we go from Calgary(canada) to Nova Scotia(Canada) and then back home, up through the States.
