So anyways enough of the non-VFR shitsky, anyone go for a epic ride today or have one planned for this weekend?
OOTV and I had a freekin blast leapfrogging the slow pokes goin up hwy 1 to Monterey. ..very impressed on how well my bike ran..click down a gear and pin it....first actual trip and very pleased with the trip, bummer I was not 100% fit from my surgery 9 months ago, but nothin that a bunch of shots of honey jack and a few beers couldn't remedy.

 

It is pretty hot up this way right now. Also this is a long weekend here where we usually kill a few people on the weekend in traffic accidents so it is a good weekend to park the bike. I know that may not seem like much to you guys in California but when your state (provincial) population is only a few million, you take notice.

Besides, 30 people will be chowing down in my bakc yard tomorrow so I have chores. First thing in the morning I have to husk a few dozen corn, then get ice for the beer cooler......

I went for a slightly epic ride last night. There was about 15 of us (including 3 VFRs). It was a "full moon ride" to the top of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park. It was about 88 degrees when I left my house in Denver at 6:30, and about 45 at the Alpine Visitor Center (elev-11,796') at 10:00pm. As a bonus, we got to see the ISS pass across the sky at 10:30!
