First you'd need to be inspected.

Is it bizarre coincidence that an ad for an HID kit pops up at the top of this page?

    Sorry to hear Randy.

Lets just say....out in the garage is a pair of Piaa H4 for the low beams to be installed probably tonight. The H7s will have to wait for my next welfare cheque to arrive. Turns out he was from the same unit I retired from in 2003. A point that came to be discovered.

I was going to begin the process of changing back both my vehicles gradually month by month. Unfortunately, when I put the HID kits in, I gave away or discarded the original bulbs.

No. No ticket. He approached me and asked me if I knew what I was being pulled over for. A common question. Prior to this, he had been two cars ahead and all three of us made a right turn. He pulled over, let us pass, then immediately lit them up. I knew everthing else on the bike was up to sniff legal wise. I was not committing any moving violation. So I said "Probably my lights." Bingo. Told him I just became aware of that regulation and that I was intending to start the change over soon as my next pension cheque came in. Turns out he too is a scooter hooter and we sat and traded stories for about 15 minutes when he left witbout even issuing a Notice and Order on the bike. I went straight to the autoparts store and bought the lights, and 10 fuggen quarts of oil for an oil change for the truck.

Honesty is my policy and will remain so.

I am not sure what the present penalty for unauthorized lights here is, but back in my day, pre 2003, it was $79.00. $75.00 for the offense and a $4.00 surcharge which went to spinal chord research or something like that.

Well. That is not for me to deal with. My tomfoolery here aside, I do not lie, and anyone who lies to me, will become one of the very few people I actually hate, if I find out. I may not neccessariky always volunteer what I know, but if I do tell you something, you can depend that to the absolute best of my knowledge, it will be truthful.

No vehicle inspections here in OK for quite a few years now (which I love because there's no way my Rx-7 would pass emissions.) Consequently, you guys should see some of the shit heaps people call daily drivers around here. I've been considering making the change to HIDs on all my vehicles. Gives them a more updated look IMHO.

Like scubalong said these lights are illegal everywhere. unless oem, it says it on the lense. the only way around installing aftermarket HID is they must be behind a projector lense and must be easily adustible. If you have oem and you pull up to a wall there's a noticeable line where the light stops at the top, this is so you don't blind oncoming traffic, if you just install the light in the oem light the lense reflects the light into oncoming traffics eyes blinding them which is just as dangerous as having your high beems on. you blind oncoming traffic putting yourself and them in danger of a collision
