This would mean I'd have to go buy undies...

I would need that VS gift card in advance, as well as info on your favorite foods.

Professional Panty Sniffer Anonymous could be an awesome money maker too.

I could make enough coochlah for one of these custom exhausts while helping the community.

Don't let any of these dudes sweet talk you into free samples. Business is business.

Here's a third party intermediary to help you in this new venture.

    http://pantydeal.com/

Fair is fair and I think maybe a small discount for the members here would be a good idea.

    Well I gotta say,
If a post is going to get sidetracked, this is about as good as sidetracking gets :potstir:

Post up some more custom welding porn--need to get a balanced diet...

Is it fair to say that welding in multiple wedge-shaped rings to make a curve is used to replace access to a tubing bender? Stainless tubing can be easily bent, whereas Titanium requires heating while bending, but if no bender is available then it can still be done with a welder and cut-off saw.

Im not too sure If I have any more pics mate, was too busy just banging away at them !
pie cuts, ahhhhh, where do I start.
lets put the motogp looks to one side and concentrate on the bending.
for sweeping bends its a no brainer to at least do some of the work out of mandrel bends, or bend a long section with a few kinks here and there, and then cut and shut into the rest of your work.
would save allotta cutting and welding right ?

The hard part comes into play when the bend has to occur in all 3 directions. generally speaking, mandrels bend in only one plane at a time at any given part along an exhaust.
doing Pie cuts lets you " grow" a pipe if you will and change its course very easily.
I started from the heads, slwoly worked my way outwards, snaking around the engine, shocks, wiring and fairing panels.
I was creating and planning as I went basically. when you havent got a template its pretty well all you can do.
and when your pipes are 5mm bigger then the stock ones, you come across clearance issues that mean a certain radius bend needs to be made- not always a cinch when an exhaust shop only may have a few dies in your size.

now,as for the motogp looks, I saw a picture of the exhaust of an rc213v one day and thought stuff it, im doing a pie cut exhaust for my new steed!

Again, spectacular work on that whole system including the finish on the cans.. Maybe you could paint it some Honda color for the peanut gallery...

Maybe a happy medium here, since there is tube bending and there is tube bending. It seems there is from some quarters that since NASA got tossed into the rubbish because of no access to the equipment that all that is left is franchise muffler shops to bend tubing and wire welders to do the rest. What this indicates is not much more than talking shit. Then we got "Oh lets send it all out to "my__" whatever. That IMO would be a great way to get back on track. Whoo-Hoo!

Where this stuff get hairy and out of the realm of reality is when high performance two stroke exhausts are being contemplated.

Maybe I'll find a couple of websites that address some of the engineering on high performance two strokes with some pix, modify it just a tad to make it seem like I know WTF I am talking aboot and post it..

Staying on track with wrinkled knickers...

Billy, I'm not sure, I never asked the docs but I guess both my legs are held together with titanium, some bits have been in there for over 50 years and so far no signs of rust that I know of

Damn right! A mate of mine is an orthopedic surgeon. Nicest guy in the world. Rides a VFR too.. He tells me he ain't so nice in the operating room.. Doctor Jekyll and Doctor Hyde..;)

My mom has a Ti hip joint. I wonder if stuff like that is part of what might be considered organ donation?

Best for anyone to send out any welding of stuff like Ti rather than having me do it..
