Why is there a "choke" on a fuel injected bike??

Not really a choke. The 98-99 had what I believe they call an enricher circuit. Function is similar I think to a choke as it helps with cold starts. Bike sure does sound nice with the D&D exhaust.

We had mostly rain all last week here. Today and for the rest of this week we are supposed to get temps in the 100 F range with 70% humidity, so looks like we are going to have a warm week.

Have fun riding and keep her shiny side up.

Got to put 28 miles on her today! It had been a few years since I'd ridden and certainly not something with this kind of "go"~

I got my "sea legs" back within a few mile....working on perfecting my cornering lines.

I watched "Twist of the Wrist II" before getting on the bike, & I must say it made all the difference in the world!

Now to get the suspension tuned for my fat @$$...

Rode almost 150 miles yesterday in BEAUTIFUL weather.

I think I'm a little heavy for this suspension (225). Do I need to do some suspension adjustments, or just lose 23 lbs? ;-)

The rear suspension on the 5th gen has been said by many to be on the soft side. Talk to Jamie D at Daugherty Motorsports - Motorcycle Suspension Performance and Modification

i had Jamie D do up a rear shock for my bike and the difference was amazing. Jamie is a member of this forum and does an upgraded shock from a CBR929 that makes a huge improvement over stock and he will build the shock tailored to you and your riding style. Check it out.
