Hello, fellow 3rd & 4th Gen owners and enthusiasts!

I’m an excited new owner of a beautiful silver ‘97 with low 16k miles. This is my first pure road bike after some years of dirt and ADV road riding.

I’ve loved it so far! The sound of those gear driven cams (plus the throaty Two Bros exhaust) just make me smile every time . I look forward to being a part of the VFR community, particularly connecting with 3rd and 4th Gen owners, like yourselves.

Thanks for the welcome! It looks to be some custom paint on the tail section. I think it looks good too : )

Thanks for the welcome message. It’s only got 16k miles, so very low for a ‘97; it’s been taken well care of for sure!

Hi Brian, I’m in the great state of Utah. How about yourself? I’d love to connect with another ‘97 owner (in person or digitally).

As I mentioned, this is my first pure road bike, and due to its age, I’ve found getting some info challenging.

Another '97 Red owner here....GREAT looking bike you got there! This is my 6th year of ownership. Wonderful bike....and like you, the sound is great with an aftermarket slip-on.
I have done a few mods to it; ...replaced hydraulic rubber lines with braided SS ones, added a voltmeter (highly suggest you do if does not have one), strobe LED brake/tail light, CBR mirrors (hated the mirror condoms), added a used set of GIVI panniers too.
Getting a new front tire in a few weeks.
Has gotten a bit warm here in the AZ desert so ridding is limited to early mornings.

    Enjoy that VFR!!

I've got a 96 vfr here in Phoenix, AZ - not too far from Utah but I don't typically ride that far north, mainly sticking to day long rides due to family/work balance... great looking bike! here's a pic of mine:
