Hey everyone- My name is Matt and I just picked up an amazing '01 for a steal! PO babied it. Had less than 8,500 miles on it and when not being ridden it was in a garage, under a cover. Oil/fluids every 1k. Never laid down. Also has a TON of upgrades: * Two Brothers Carbon Fiber slip-on (high mount to show off the single sided swingarm) * Power Commander EFI controller with custom map for Two Brothers Slip-On * Race Tech gold valve forks * Ohlins rear shock with remote preload adjuster * Gafler braided stainless brake lines * Carbon Loraine sintered brake pads * H4 Xenon headlights * New Metzler tires * Rear carbon fiber rear hugger * Stainless steel rear tidy * Raised clip-ons * Mirror extenders * Heated grips * High smoked windscreen * AutoLock cruise control * MagTech tank protector * Sargent custom seat * Hard wired radar detector and mount * Tail bag It's a SWEET ride and I couldn't be any happier to have found it. Looking forward to learning more about it and being a part of the VFR community.
Welcome to the small contingent of VFR Riders here in Vegas!! There's a great group in San Diego and Central Coast CA too. I ride out to visit those folks when they open their doors and it's some really nice riding out there. Congrats on the bike... have you ridden in Vegas before or is this your first bike in Vegas? Either way, if you ever need/want a riding buddy, let me know. I'm pretty busy most of the time, but I will always try to make time for a ride if I can. I have a "normal" schedule. 8 to 5 off on Sat./Sun. Look forward to meeting you!!
Welcome to this cavern of madness. You will enjoy your stay. But if you don't post uo pix, teh Secrete Service will be knocking on your door.
Yep! There are a lot of places around here that aren't too hard to get to. Mt. Charleston, Brian Head, CA resorts, UT resorts . . . I'm originally from WA and grew up in a ski town, so it's kind of in my blood.
Just pulling your leg. I know you don't have to come this far north to find snow. Matter of fact, I ride yer round. We do get snow from time to time on the valley floor but it is gone in 24 hours, or a few days at the most. My brother lives not far from Big Bear. He can't ski or board worth a shit. But then, neither can I.
Another Vegas rider here, I have a 1990 VFR that I picked up recently with 22K miles on it and have been getting it back together for the road. It had fairing damage and was sitting for several years at one of my friends shops ( Motorcycle Tire Center) in Las Vegas. It started as a winter project and niow is on the road, I think my son and I may have run in to VFRChick a few weeks back in Logandale!
Yup! That was me!! I always go talk to VFR riders when I see 'em! We're a rare breed!! I'm glad you decided to check this place out. You will find lots of friendly, very knowlegeable people here, and everyone is willing to help out with advice if they know the answer. Welcome to the place where crazy is sane!!
