Mark your calendar for May 9th to check this thread, or look for a separate post. Have it scheduled to do the dyno next Tues the 9th. Here's :cheersaf: to all going as planned, and certain expectations being some what met.

On a side note; the Viffer isn't running all the great, unless you add a little of the enriching, which tells me it wants more fuel, hence more air coming an going needs more fuel is a good thing, right ;)

It would fit... but the radiator won't after, sorry. That said, I personally prefer the 8th gen set up. Who knows what will come of this, after the dyno we'll know more.

How did you handle the slip-on? My recollection was that it wasn't lining up properly.

Thanks, I was afraid that was the case - damn 8th gen with the front mounted radiators! :glee: Actually, I'm trying to remember why on earth Honda had them on the side before? I'm sure they had a good reason. Have you dynoed your bike previously to get a baseline?

Yep.. got that in hand for a comparison.

OOTV , Well you're sorta right, it was the #2 primary header that wasn't lining up, I took a torch to it and worked into place like it should be. Now as far as the slip on goes, after a couple of conversations with Mike and Gabe today, made a tough decision, where we'll be messing with the Staintune to fit the 2Bro vs. making a whole new can.

Ah think it had something to do with engine mounting, that and the new thing here was the same thinking as the RC51 and Super hawk where the side mounted units would let the engine be rocked forward a bit . then I'm thinking they also thought the unrestricted air coming in would help in the cooling process. It only took ten pus years to figure it didn't work as well as a front mount.

That's good news, Jay. Are you planning to run a baseline with no adjustments at all, only TBR exhaust? Then have your former HRC V4-whisperer fine-tune your Power Commander for the TBR system?

I'm with you; I like the sound of a VFR with no muffler - here's a snippet of 6 gen with no midpipe:

ya know I might, at the moment I'm thinking it's to far off to be relevant. so we'll see how it runs once hooked up.

Anxiously awaiting video and dyno numbers!!!
So what wound up happening with the two brothers mid pipe vs the staintune slip-on? Were they the same diameter or did you have to open up the staintune a tad. Looks like you did exactly what I did with my sixth gen slip-on to two brothers header merge, except yours looks a shit load cleaner lol.

One word....Perplexing. almost along the lines of the video what OOTV just shared ;) I'll be back, want to go out and run it down the road, then download a video or two, then of coarse, share the numbers.. ;)
