Hi everyone! Ive recently acquired a 1984 VF500F locally to get my open license. Currently ride on a 250 maxi scooter which is great - but the honda came up cheap and being a lover of classic Hondas I knew I had to get it. It's done over 100000km (60000 miles) but purss along nicely. Few bits and pieces are obviously needing looking but what bike wouldn't require some TLC with that age or mileage. I've seen some good posts on here and every time I search for anything vf500 this forums pops up sini thought ill come in and say hi. I did have someone say I should gutt the exhaust and take the baffles out but struggling on how to take the back plate out, any advice would be appreciated. Cheers Mike Btw: couple pics of the vf500.
Looks very nice. This is one of the higher mileage VF500Fs I've seen. It's nice to be reassured they don't all die early deaths. One of the things I like most about mine is the civilized purr it makes through the stock exhaust. I wouldn't change it, myself. I thought there was something odd about that last picture, then I remembered you're in Australia.
haha... oops! dunno how the iphone unloaded that upside down. yeah, i have a couple of Honda CRX's from 1983 and 1984 so this fits nicely in - not a stranger to older Honda's, and I look after them.
