Remember this is the same magazine that claimed 2009 was the year of the new VFR. Take this with a huge titanic sized grain of salt. See below:

    I don't like the DN-01 at all.
I wouldn't criticise anyone for riding one, but I would much prefer Honda spend their resources on a new VFR.
I am quite sure though, that when the new VFR finally does come out I won't even like it.
Which is OK too, because I won't have to fork over $15k or whatever it will be.
All I want is a comfy sport bike. Which is exactly what I have.
I don't want- auto, ABS, GPS, air bags, mp3 player, traction control etc.

Yes, tcarroll is right. Looks very much like shaft drive. The swingarm shaft drive in one, the whole thing looks ditto like a BMW K1200R. Very interesting. The new V5 has a shaft drive, or is this a scoop of poop?

Here's a picture not posted. That sure looks like the tail end of the 6th Gen VFR. I know they can duct tape anything they want on the back of a bike but why choose THAT light cluster? I hate to say it but I'm starting to think they may have FINALLY come up with a 7th Gen...

I was never gonna go out and get on a CBR100o or R1 anyway. I have actually looked at the FJR1300 and though "maybe in a couple years". Seeing what maybe Gen7 in the black, I not digusted as much as I was expecting to be. I'm reserving final judgement till I see one in the states, but I'm feeling it grow on me. No way in hell the wife is gonna lug around all that bike, but for me.... maybe. have to take a wait and se stance.

Said it before, say it now: I'll believe there's a new VFR when I'm sitting on one and not before.

    That link is from 2008.

The Gen 7 looks one step closer to the real deal.

Also interesting is the hint of a new Pan European (ST1300) means the VFR1200ST hopefully remains Sports/Hyper tourer biased.

yeah, was just commenting on MCN's annual or bi-annual new VFR hype. Seems they actually got it close this time.

Still not buying this is a replacement for the VFR, it ain't the 7th gen, it's an answer to the K1200R/S and the ZX14/Concours. Totally new class for Honda. VFR get's new colors for '10.
