How do I block or ignore an annoying user?

    Probably at least once a week, the moderators are asked to delete a user or censor all their posts. At least an equal amount of time, we are asked to keep VFRWorld free and open to all. What is one to do? If you would prefer not to see posts from a certain user, you can take these steps and not have to view their posts.

    Step 1. Click settings at the top right of most any VFRWorld window. (see pic)

    Step 2. About halfway down on the left under the heading of my settings, you'll see "Edit Ignore List". Click "Edit Ignore List". (see pic)

    3. In the box where it says "Ignore List" is a text box for you to type the user name. The forum will try and guess the name as you type it if you have trouble with spelling. type in the user you would like to ignore and click "Okay". (see pic)

    4. On the next page, you should see your ignore list box with the user's name that you just added and a checkmark beside it. (see pic)

    Step 5. Take a deep breath and relax. It's just the internet.

    What if the person is not really "annoying" so much as "too cool" or "so right" that I just can't stand it? Does the procedure remain the same?

    Sorry, I really couldn't help it. Feel free to delete if necessary.....

    If I Ignore all the mods can they ban me or do I get to just run wild and free and post whatever I want?

    Tink is still on this forum??? I've had him on "ignore" for so long... I liked the reputation indicators under your user name. That was here during one of the upgrades last year. I can see how that could get abused though...
