47K on my ZZR600 that I just sold. Took delivery of a 2007 VFR800 on Friday with 4300 miles on it. Looking to go at least 100K. Anybody got 100K+ on one of these?

I bought my 84 VF700F with 23,000 and four years ago and now have 47,000. Longest trip to date was 700 miles in a weekend.
I recommend the oil mod, a good full synthetic oil, the F4i rear shock retrofit, dexcool coolant, and the aux. cooling fan switch.
These are the things I've done and have had great luck so far.
i also have an 07 Z1000 and always choose the VF for my 110 mile round trip commute to work. 84 and 07 029.jpg

    I am curious:

What maintenance have you had to do on it?

How often do you have to adjust the valves?

How has the electrical system held up?

What is the most common problem you have with it?

Is this the original engine? Rings? Valves?

    Suspension?

    Thanks!

175K is impressive! My old Ninja had 47K and it was starting to show its age...(I put 40K miles on it in 4+ years of commuting...
I'll probably keep the same pace with the VFR....hopefully...

^ nice Capn! I am waiting to hit 80,000 on my 91. Those hoses worked out nice, did not use the short water pump one as I did'nt wana risk an o-ring leak. My 93 has aboot 16,000 miles and gets used twice a week on a 60 mile round trip. My other commuter Ex500 has about 25,000 miles and rides well too. 91 just got its annual oil change sad to say, it is a sweet heart though.

    Cheers :vtr2:

Bought in jan 2009 with about 6000 miles. i am now at about 61,000 miles. replaced the stator/rr/battery a few times, replaced the cct's once at 30,000 miles. change the oil with full synthetic and purolator pure one filter every 3 or 4 thousand miles. never done a valve inspection and spends most of its life either close to redline, at the drag strip, leaned all the way over, or on one wheel. seems to be working out pretty good so far.

OOOH...good thing I didn't know seeing that I only have 23,000 miles. But 30,000 is that normal or you ride in the higher rev range?...
