I passed on the one I had found that prompted me to start this post. Kid wanted too much or it. Must have had an emotional attachment.

Then I found and bought a 95 with 28K on it for $3400 from a dude on Indianapolis Craigslist. Thing is like brand new. Owner was obsessive about maintenance. His wife and kids were crying and taking pictures as I loaded it into the truck to take it home.

It came with some extras too. Honda service manual, service records, headlamp assembly from the 94 he wrecked before getting the 95, and right side plastic. Some woman knocked the bike over in a parking lot, insurance paid for new plastic, but the old stuff still looks good. I feel good about it.

Anyone near SW Michigan need right side plastic, email me.

Thanks for all the responses. They were a big help.

Keep the plastics, you never know when you might need some spares. Wish I had some right side stuff for my 93.

I just looked at the date of when I started this thread. MAY 2008!?!?! Time flies...

No way, I couldn't have waited a year to buy a bike. I bought the bike in August last year. Have only put about 2000 miles on it so far. Attached pics are from the craigslist ad. Thats the dude I bought it from's Beemer in the background.

I love this bike. I've always wanted an Interceptor, ever since I was 8 years old and they were in every issue of Cycle World magazine. I had a subscription. Now, I own the legend.

Bought this for $900.00 last week. It currently does not run but more than likely it is an electrical problem.

It will be an excellent addition to my Hawk GT and Rebel 450.

The bike is in pristine condition except one 2-3" diameter ding in the tank.

Still have yet to take some pics of it yet but it really is in amazing condition.

I pick up a 1991 VFR 750 for 2000.00 with 23k miles, the body was in great shape, as well as the rest of the bike. Just no maintenance records.

After a few weeks of checking the bike out and fixing a few problems, I bought a 1999 Red VFR for 2100. It has 15000 miles on it. The previous owner dropped it a couple time and it has some scratches on both side on the fairing down low. Every thing else looks good, just dirty mostly. I believe this is the best deal I have seen on a VFR based on year and mileage. Thanks again for the peolpe here that have answered previous posts.
