Step one: Click Settings at the top right of your screen. Step two: Scroll down and look in left hand column for Networking section. Click Permission groups. (see below) Step three: The screen should change to display as below. Click the button to "Join Group". Step four: Once the button is highlighted as in last picture, you click the "Join Group" button. You are done! Note: Just because you disable the chat doesn't mean you have to go through all that again if you happen to be in a chatty mood. There is a chat room button that will still take you to chat, you just will not get a chat box on every screen like the default.
