I believe that LGN's winter comments have more to do with the content of this thread then they do poor riding conditions.

Actually I am much closer to Maryland than NJ. I live in lower DE.

And NJ is a dump, but it has the closest race track so I consider that a blessing. Besides, south Jersey is nice; at least in appearance.

This is my impression of South NJ. Someone dressed the cast of The Sopranos up in bib overalls and Carhartt jackets, then the island of Puerto Rico annexed it.

I didn't bring up 4 and 5 brother bear as it is unwise to discuss ourselves.

Whoa whoa whoa!! Four pages of this banter and now people wanna start messing with Jersey? Are youse guys outta your fucking minds? The only thing Bear and I got in common is that I know about Louisville sluggers too. (Well, that and apparently we like hot women with guns, but then who doesn't!).

Now back the fuck off of jersey, or you'll be swimmin with da fishes. I got some concrete shoes in your size.

But on a somewhat serious note - in NJ, if you are south of route 78, you're basically considered south jersey. You're a fan of the Phillies, Flyers, and Eagles. All teams which are vehemently disliked by anyone north of Route 78, myself included.

South Jersey also has no twists, turns, or mountains. Anyone who wants to ride through, I'll be happy to take you on some roads in Morris, Warren and Sussex county that you wouldn't think could possibly exist in Jersey.

I had a very pleasant visit to sout' Joisey. If it werent for the accents I would have mistaken it for Indiana. Having lived in Ca for years, I knew all those hispanic people wandering around probably werent Mexicans. Everyone treated me very well, and NJMP was really a nice venue, big wide track with a nice long straight.

Please do not sic the Mafia on me Pliskin.

Reading this sick f*ck of a thread is the best part of my day. I try to save it until close to quitting time so I can ride home with a smile on my face. Be that as it may, I still want to f*ck Bear's avatar.

    BUMP!!!
Just wanted to add something I was taught last week.
I was flushing my radiator with de-ionized water when a old friend turned up. He rides a VFR750 Gen 3.
He suggested I top up my battery whilst I had the de-ionized water out.
I had just checked my battery voltage and it was a little low at 12.7V and 12.4V with ignition on.
My battery like most 10 year old bikes is a sealed unit. But anyway he insisted as it was coming into summer. I got a small flat screwdriver and pryed open the cover that says 'do not open'
Nothing!! not a drop of water. I have owned this bike for about 2 months and was going through it.
I basically turned the battery upside down and couldnt squeeze a drip.
I suppose batteries boil as they heat up when being charged resulting in water lost as gas. This will also increase sulfation of the battery as water levels decrease and acid concentration increases. Probably resulting in decreased battery life and pressure on electrical bits.
So if you havent done it regularly (like me) pop your battery cap and check the level.

you wouldnt happen to have a yuasa agm would you?

    "Sealed, Non-spillable
Once filled with acid from its special packs, the AGM battery is virtually maintenance free. It's totally sealed and all of the acid is absorbed in the special plates and separators, so there is no need to worry about acid leaks on valuable vehicle parts and accessories."
