    hello yall, 1st post. yaaay!

last year i got a 2021 5th gen and so far i've had to face mainly two things:

the regulator thing (solved, i got a reg to unpack on the desk, will install it in the next weeks)
and the smc which apparently doesn't allow oil returning to the reservoir leading to a locked rear caliper.

now i'm not in the mood ($) for a full rebuild so i already shuffled tubings and banjos around and effectively delinked the brakes but still one thing remain to fix: the damn front left caliper moving around due to the absence of oil in the smc.

now i know i can lock it hydraulically (read it in this forum, thanks btw) and that'd be a done deal and i'll probably do that - but i've also read that it could be a risky move as it will fail over time requiring maintenance (oil slowly seeping out ingesting air/water) and could also be dangerous if the seal fails catastrophically during hard braking blurting out all the tiny amount of oil trapped in the smc and potentially cutting braking power due to the pads not hitting the disc in the correct area.

is there any inexpensive and non destructive way to properly lock out the smc preventing the caliper from pivoting?
i'm open to suggestion if anyone know what to built off a lathe tbh, i have a friend who works at a machine shop - check the image, it's a spacer from "lightenupgrade" but i'm not sure they ship just the spacer.

i know delinking sparks spicy discussions sometimes - i'm doing this due to cost, after next winter i'll get all the rebuild kits and fix it properly, and perhaps also change all the oil lines.

    thank you.
