There's a group buy thru Fabian every now and then on the Hawk forum. As far as just ordering, I haven't seen one but I also haven't been looking.

 

Valve cover gaskets started leaking. So new gaskets and grommets procured. Checked valve lash, adjusted a couple that were just out. Nothing crazy. Decided to key in on some blue componenets on the bike and I painted the valve covers Candy Aleutian Blue.



Had some new RC31 decals made in grey with a blue outline. Also changed out the preload caps with some blue accent units.



Serviced the Uni pods too, it ran so friggin great. Popped the float bowls, o-rings still supple and proud, and no sediment.





Thermostat was stuck open, so I installed a 2K mile unit that apparently works perfectly. Restored the thermostat housing, installed new o-rings, and added a new radiator cap as the one that was on there was dribbling into the overflow tank.

 

Nice accenting Captain! The valve covers are spot-on.

Did about a 100 mile afternoon to the Tolt-Macdonald Park after work. Walked down to the "beach" and met Clay, who was there with his family camping. He who owns a Ducati Multistrada and we had a nice talk about roads. There was also a Farmer's Market going on with live music. Tried to extend the ride farther south but ran into some Summer construction and turned around for a slight route adjustment.

KILLER ride and sono Hawk ran so fucking good.

Sweet dude!! I need to stop working and riding more although the PoPo caught me last week at a high rate during my commute, so I am a little down on bikes at the moment. On the plus side I have completed my transfer of equipment and stuff into the new MegaGarage.

 

Sounds like you need a faster bike.

I am intrigued by Mega Garage!

And obviously a Captain bike pic never disappoints.

Faster Bike - Not sure there are many faster than the Tuono Factory V4 1100 for the street. Lugs in 6th at 80mph, thus the ticket.

My new work cell and tool box lower. Plus I have room for the rest of my surf boards from the '80s.


In the end, it was worth it to sell the VFR400r. My back is killing me though..lol
