You don't have to defend yourself from anybody. A vast majority of those that use "millenials" as an excuse for everything are usually upper middle aged southern and midwestern conservatives who get their world view from Fox News or other conservative media outlets and have a strong propensity for throwing around words like, liberal, leftist, and socialist. The reason America has to be made great again, is due to this thought process. Don't worry, you'll be here long after they are gone. Just do your best, the future of society depends upon it.

I agree norca, the focus on negative and blame these days is amazing. I work with a lot of millenial's, my son being one of them. They are hard working very good people. Sure they have traits and ways of communicating that are very different than when I grew up but when I was a kid the same thing was going on. Its the few tards that get the whole labeled, blamed and misunderstood. The tards of every generation are a pain in the ass.

Glad you got an education but to state you were all but forced to go to college and nobody helped you pay for it is playing the victim card really hard. Sorry, that doesn't fly far or get you much sympathy. You knew you were incurring debt and then accepted that while doing what someone else thought best for you when you had the ultimate decision making power then you made your decision. Now you have to live with it. To whine about that after the fact, is not going to get you anywhere. If there is a crisis, it's self-induced. I went to college because I made the decision and I also made the decision to pay for it entirely myself as I went. I graduated with money in the bank. Hundred hour weeks offshore during summers didn't hurt me but, in fact helped me. Other people did that and didn't whine about it either. I didn't wait for or expect someone else to pay my way for me. It's amazing what hard work can do for you at any stage in life. I'm going to ride my debt free VFR this weekend that I paid for. Again, hard work and sacrifice can get anyone down the road if they're properly motivated. This has nothing to do with generations.

Don't mean to derail, but about college tuition, let me say a thing: I did 5 years at the University of Mississippi in the early 1980's & the tuition was $1,200 per semester which seemed high in that era but I worked & paid cash. Today, my daughter is going to Mississippi State University at rate of $10,000 per semester!
Why did the tuition inflate so much? Well, it's because the government saw a cash cow and stepped in. The tuition was artificially raised whereas the average student or parents cannot possibly pay cash anymore for tuition so they have to take a loan. These loans are gathered by various entities and redistributed to the USA government. I've been reading the fine print. It's just a case of greed and there is no competition for it (loans) because the money ultimately goes to the same place. Then the money is sent from the government back to the schools as "federal grants". Now, the colleges are under the rule of the government and can now dictate policies and such to those schools, public universities that is. There is so much liberal agenda being implemented at my old university that it's sickening. I have nothing to do with that school anymore, nor do my relatives. We had 3 generations to go there. In all, the liberal agenda is trying or has changed the thoughts and perceptions of these young adults and it seems to be working. Just preaching to the choir.

I just went to my son's graduation a few months ago. Darn school a had a dean of diversity and half the degrees were worthless in the real world. A large part of the increase in tuition has been the increase of administration. I wonder about people graduating with mountains of debt for worthless degrees.

It isn't that complicated. Government offers student loans, colleges see that more people get loans (more money floating around now), colleges raise tuition because they smell money, colleges hire more administration types that add no value, colleges begin enormous building and construction projects, tuition continues to rise, students major in marketing, sociology, psychology, European history, and other "soft" degrees, they graduate, find out they can't get a job in the field they majored in, the college goes on it's merry way, student is saddled with heavy debt for life because they made a bad decision in the beginning to major in something that can't make them a living and the decision to take on ridiculous amounts of debt becomes an up close nightmare they earned along with bad decision making.

The better decision makers may have waited a couple of years to save money for college and get a degree that can help them make money (engineering, accounting, STEM degrees, etc.) then paid their way as they went. Or, some people realized a degree wasn't who they are and became electricians, plumbers, craftsmen, CNC programmer/operators, etc. and ended up making more money than college graduates. Nope, to. those that play the victim card. There were plenty of other options including the military that will pay for a degree under the right circumstances. Life is hard.

Well this thread changed. From being disappointed in Honda to Millennials crying about how they are perceived.

There goes the troll from California (the state that is being evacuated by the few sane people left) that doesn't even own a VFR trying to be obnoxious again. Take away that "try" word. It comes natural. Go back under your bridge. Your hibernation was enjoyed...hijacker. Have a nicer day.

It was only the commentary saying Bautista was at the back with the 2 Hondas that I even realised there were any out there

Good ride from Baz on the Ten Kate Yamaha, he’s only had the bike a few weeks and he’s chasing the Pata squad, also inspired ride by Lowes, coming back at Bautista with a slower bike ..

Rea rode in his usual professional and perfect way, great end to Race2 ....Toprak continues to be stunning

Maybe you needed more education yourself, your reading comprehension would suggest it...

I didn't have much debt. I worked 60 hours a week during the summer to pay a part of my education. I worked during the semester as much as possible. I didn't party, I didn't do sports, I didn't do anything other than work and class for 4 years. With that said, with scholarships, going to my 4th choice of school because it was in state (cheaper), and all that work I still had some debt. I couldn't do anything more to not have debt. But I still had it. It's nearly impossible at current tuition prices. And those prices are set by boomers who enjoyed much cheaper education. But I'm the bad guy here. You must be an idiot .

Arguing with Maxwell Smart is a waste of time. Don't fall into the trap and start calling him names, it only drags you down to his level. It's just not worth your dignity.

You've got a serious social problem. I'd like to, just once, to hear you say something positive about anything. Name, calling......do you have a mirror and can you read? Show us a picture of your VFR. Meanwhile, back to the topic of the thread. Somebody, please.

Yup your right on both bikes and planes. Airlines are begging for pilots and going out of business because of it. It's too f**cking expensive to learn to fly and millennials don't have the patience or funds to do it. I'm 53 and the airlines keep calling me to come fly but won't pay a living wage.

Bikes are also too damn expensive, ridiculously, I have kids in college, I can't afford $15000.00 for a toy. And the ones I want and can ride, are boring and don't make enough power. I'd rather invest in a RC30 let it go up and sell it than a $15000.00 or $25000.00 current bike thats looses 40% soon as the ink dries. IHMO of course.

I have a 2004. The dyno chart reads 101.39 max HP and 54.08 ft.-lbs. max torque. I can't imagine the 2015 version of the same engine produces much more torque.
