This is always so sad for those of us left behind. We think of it as a loss. However, all that is happened is we have given our loved ones back to the universe where they belong. We miss them because they are no longer here... but yes, as someone else said, they are out there riding in the big road in the sky...

For those of you that have never been,Wellsboro,Pa. is truly a very beautiful little town
with gas lite street lights, old stores and one very old Hotel. The area is extremely
scenic with roads that are lined with lush trees and open fields. There is a very high
presence of wild life especially white tailed deer. It is possible that a deer or two
ran into their path and caused them to loose control. Anyway, Wellsboro is the kind
of place,at least it has been my experience, that, when there, you feel very close to God and nature, the area just has a natural peacefullness to it. So with all of that said, and with full respect to them, it's probably one of the nicer places to be to check out of our existence. R I P my fellow bikers.

    Canner, you have a PM.

    Fellow riders,

my name is Steve and I was part of the group riding out of Wellsboro Saturday morning, one of three riders directly behind Michael and Cyndi. To say we are all devasted somehow seems like an understatement.

The newspaper article posted earlier is mostly correct, though it doesn't (and couldn't) capture the events that lead to this terrible tragedy. Those of us who were there have written our own accounts and shared them amongst ourselves. We have contemplated posting those to a public forum, as we want to set the record straight and we recognize that some may need that sort of information to come to terms with this. If that happens, I will post a link here. I am willing to share my account with those who have questions (PM me here or I have a Gmail account, username "slorch"), but am hesitant to do so publicly until the group reaches a consensus.

Above all, it is our desire to shield Cyndi and Michael's loved ones from the public speculation and cruel comments that so often accompany these events. I know that sort of thing won't happen here, but there are many other less mature moto-related sites.

For now, I want you to know that they did not suffer. We were to them within seconds, but they were already gone. I was not able to see exactly what forced the bike off the road, but Michael kept it upright and on a direct path into a clear front yard. It is only through a cruel twist of fate that this ended the way that it did. Cyndi and Michael were surrounded by friends who love them and the emergency workers who responded to the scene treated them with the utmost respect and compassion.

    -Steve

that's terrible news. we always hate to lose others who enjoy our sport. it's hard to know what to say. I hope they were happy. I bet they were if they were together and riding. I guess that's the only good thing from something like this...

Many accidents happen everyday but, for some reason, when it involves a motorcycle rider we all feel it. We have lost a couple of family members. My prayers go out for the family and friends who have lost dearly.
