My husband and I are looking at potentially replacing his cruiser with an interceptor. We have found a 2002 & a 2004 that are in our $$ range. What I can't seem to find is any info on the differences between these 2 model years.

    Any help ls appreciated.

    Thanks.

I don't think there is a tremendous difference. If you are looking at used bikes, then compare miles/condition, and cost. I ride a 98 which has more significant differences, but it was a reasonable cost and the owner had taken meticulous care of the bike. Much better than me, I'm ashamed to admit, but I bought it to ride, not stare at! :)

I don't believe there is really any difference between those two model years. I have an 02 and have had no problems with mine.

It's the same machine! 02 is the year that started the sixth generation and there weren't any big changes in 04:first:

The only change that has occurred from 02-06 is that in 05/06 the remapped the VTECH configuration from 7K Where it kicks in to 6K in (Can't remember what year.) 05/06.
