    I think there was plenty of cerebral flexing in this thread and all the poor guy:frown: wanted was to save some money while doing what was best for his bike.

    I had faith all along the VFRW would come through for a fellow Biker :biggrin:

    I'd like to know why my '02 Honda civic says spark plug change at 110k miles but my '03 Shadow says 8k miles.

    in general it would be a much higher output ignition (prob digital) that allows the plugs to run cleaner/longer

    That sounds like the best explanation I've heard yet. I've also heard rumor that the civic comes stock with a platinum plug that lasts longer but may not fire as well as other plugs on the market.

    i think im getting hosed then as I just bought a set (to replace a fouled plug and have some spares) at 25$cnd a peice. the denso plug according to both the bike shop and the auth shop was discontinued.....probly they couldnt order it, but they still had to order me the ngk's

    That's very good of them. I think "The Paw" grabbed someone on their way by. You just can't beat some online shopping before you pull the trigger......but you are resposible once you pull it. In this case I think those prices are over the top. Buyers spend.....shoppers do a little better!
