Has anyone experienced the sputtering or stumbling issues with the 2010?

Lear 31a, Howdy and welcome. I have a 2010, and have experienced none of the issues described in the other thread you were following; even with an aftermarket exhaust ( DAM, YEAH BABY ! ) . Their experiences are the exception rather than the rule . This is one great bike. Corporate pilot? Nice plane, worked at two different FBOs before going to work for an airline for almost 19 years ( not a pilot ).

Yes! Mostly from dudes who were writing reviews on the 1200 and had never seen one much less ride one.

Engine-wise, my 2010 is stock except for the 2bro can. No bomb, no surge, no PTSD, no WMD, no IED, no sectarian violence.

Won't matter to me if Honda quits the VFR1200. Just hope they've got a good exit strategy.

I was about to buy my first 2010 V12 with 2.5k miles on it for about $9500. I'd be over the moon if I got a new one for round about that much. Please help.

Take a trip down here, seen them for about R100000-115000, which is close to $10000.

The rand to the shilling is R1=Ksh10. So that's ksh1 - 1.15M which translates to $13,200 ($1=Ksh 87) Not good.

The 2010 in the showroom has yet to be serviced and has the OEM saddle bags. They have it listed for 12900. I will not pay that. Would you guys agree 11000 is fair?
I would hate to see the Viffer go away. I too believe it is unique, even the 6th gen bikes. I love mine and have mixed emotions about seeing her go.
Greybeard, yes corporate pilot. We fly Lear 45s, Global Express and a G650 based out Bentonville.

$11k with OEM saddlebags is pretty much $10k for the bike alone. Probably not the absolute best deal you could catch if you cast a wider net (around the country), but then you'll have to travel or pay for shipping. All in all, a $6k discount compared to MSRP for a local bike is not too shabby.

I often ride my 2010 to some of the backroad cafe' s we have here. Usually there are about a dozen or so bike of all types. On evey visit I get positive comments about the V12. Many of these riders are seasoned veterans with many years of riding under their belt and a few are racers. Makes you feel good to own one
As for the washing I hand ( never hosed) clean mine with special lint free cloth and Plexis. No matter how short the ride I go over the bike from front to back. Plexis makes the plastic very slippery so dirt does not collect as easily.

I am thinking about getting a Corbin seat and the Honda side panniers. Any comments/recommendations on those products/accessories?

Ya I checked out CMseats but I need to send in my original seat which I would leave me without my ride for weeks and if for some reason I want to switch back to stock no can do. Seems that many custom seat manufactures want you to send in your original seat but Cobin does not require that. For the money I want to make sure I am making a good decision.
    Thanks

Did you see where it said how to locate a local guy that can turn a quality product at competitive pricing locally? Mine was turned in under a week from the time I dropped the bike off until I picked it up.

And how is it custom tailored if you send the seat in and don't send your ass with it?

I don't mail in my suits and coats for custom tailoring.
