I really would like to have the entire foot flat. But, this is a minimal issue for me. I just saw the product and thought I would seek the wisdom of the group and the experience. Thanks for the advice! I will see the bike on Friday after getting it out of the dealers shop with new tires. I CANT FRICKEN WAIT!;-)

From the pix, it sure looks like it would be better to have the bikes off the center stands.

You Tube has a whole bunch of videos about how to make your legs longer... :topsy_turvy:

Good stuff! In a recent survey, the leg lengthening methods were catching up with the lengthening of other specific appendages.

I am a riding God whilst the bike is on the center stand, red line each gear and permanent knee down.
Fantastic on fuel and tyre wear too.

    Eccentric

Looking at the Rear Wheel Chain Adjustment,,.. has anyone played with rotating the Eccentric for height?
It looks like it'll spin right around, 360' (with no chain).
At one Point the Axle will be on top (lowers back end).
180' around and the axle will sit low (raises back end).
Looks like about 5/8" of "adjustment".
If its already on the "lower'd" end, then this idea is moot.
    Just thinkin,,.. :cool-new:

Saves pesos on brake pucks and chain lube too.

A slight correction.. You are only one of the Gods. Tons more at most bike shows and even some bike nights. ;)

FYI , I just got my new VFR because I totaled my CTX1300 and a major cause of my low to a high side was I lowered the CTX an inch front and back and lost to much of lean angle, I was in TX hill country trying to keep up with my buddies (dumb on my part ) I was dragging pegs on most turns and finally hit a turn that I could not lean enough and it lifted the rear and I was along for the ride till the tires caught the dirt and high sided me off accross the bars, bending them with my back ( I am still black and blue on my right lower back ) .

I had about 3/4" of chicken strips so lowering just reduced my bikes ability to lean too much. So I am never going to lower a bike again. I am about 5'7" now ( was 5'8" most of younger days but we shrink with age ) and 29" inseam and I can flat foot my VFR which is one of the reasons I chose the VFR.

SO just saying I learned the hard way that lowering can be very bad for you.

Sounds like it wasn't the bikes fault and lowering----
    sorry about the crash though

had I not lowered I think I would have had enough lean to make the turn. Still my fault for exceeding the bikes ability as I made it lower. But I'm actually happy it was totaled , my vfr800 makes me very happy, commuting every day to work since I got it.

Sucks about the bike and the crash. But, the reason I asked is that I cannot flat feet both with the same inseam of 29inches. I am about the same height as you at 5'9" ( I'm sticking that #);-)

well, there are many ways to lower the VFR a little bit, I'm suprized no one mentioned turning the stock triangle for that 1/2-3/4 of an inch or so.
Not to mention it's a 2014, and you can just lower the damn seat. :dread:

I just recently bought a used 14. After I got it home I realized it had the Lust racing lowering kit in it. I thought it felt a little lower than my old bike. But I hadn't been on one for so long didn't think much of it at the time. I know others have said it will affect handling. I have just been riding it for commuting and some backroad twists and turns. Nothing overly aggressive. I have to say it seems fine to me. But again I'm not trying to push the bike to its limits.

Yes, as far as I can tell. It's level and rides good. The last owner also put bar risers on it. It's actually a pretty comfortable ride.
