The ZX-14 to me should be labled the "the bike Magnum P.I. would ride" with those side strakes right out of the 80s... ;-)

Wait a sec - she was my sister!

I originally proposed the Amazonas as the ugliest bike ever, but that was too easy. I now see that the Honda Rune really deserves that honor.

Somebody who knows how to write a poll with pictures should propose the best looking bike of all time.

Would think the 916 Duck a leading candidate for the " best looking bike ".

Had a few people tell me it's the ugliest vfr they've seen, I personally beg to differ. Beauty is in this beholders eyes all the way.

Beauty is pretty subjective. After having 3 pricks comment on how ugly my BMW LS 650 was, a brilliant artist and guitarist walked out and said that it was the most beautiful machine that he had ever seen.

An incredibly georgous woman rides a Multi Strada regularly to 29 Dreams, it is a tremendous improvement when they are considered as a pair!:caked:

I don't think this bike is in the competition 'cause it all modded. I don't like it very well, particularly the haphazard exhaust, but it's a personal statement.

Didn't realize the competition wasn't for modded bikes, much respect to your personal statement. The exhaust is one of my favorite mods. Though I get both good and bad statements about the bike. It is by far the funnest bike I've ever owned. The looks are courtesy of a low side into a guard rail, and a repair job of under fifty bucks. Personally, my bike gets better looking with time.

Kinda looks a little like Buell(style wise), I have great respect for those that take something that isn't functional & put their personal spin(based on preference or budget) on it to make it into a rolling peice of art. Makes it personal & art therfore only one opinion really matters.

Hey, that modded VFR that supereddie posted looks like a Confederate bike, but for $60,000 less! LOL

Well, I took another look at the modded VFR and I'll be darned if it isn't growing on me! I would like it better if the exhaust were angled back, but it's a really interesting bike. Lotsa things going on visually.

From memory that was called the Rockster (or something similar) in Australia.

BMW seem to have a thing for fugly bikes. R1100/1150/1200GS anyone?

Rockster was something different all together, at least here in the states.

As for the R1200C being underpowered, I think it put out more HP & Torque than most stock Hardleys did or do now.

I did ride one -- once. My then brother in law was looking at buying one and didn't have a BMW dealer anywhere near him. Since I had a BMW at the time, he asked me to check it out for him. I too thought it was pretty ugly, but he liked it for being so different. Or at least he said. I think it was more of he wanted a cruiser, didn't want to have a Japanese one, and was tired of dealing with the problems on his Fat Boy. Plus he was getting offered more than he paid for the Fat Boy, so he figured he could sell it, make a little coin, and get the BMW.
