Jeff's '02 VFR800 ABS .... Take 2

Here's the mock-ups one of my designers did at work - he just did it quick and dirty, but also said to keep in mind that is very difficult to get metal flake colors right on the computer.

I think I'm going to leave the clutch / stator covers alone for now and just do the wheels and reassess.




He even did one for SOW ...

 

Copper looks good, and quite unique. I don't think you would be at all disappointed if you had them done in this colour

 

The silver bike is somewhat of a blank canvas. Each of those wheel colors has truly great character, but different character from one another.

I have thought about matching the amber lights for my wheels. Would the turn signals show up more or less to other drivers? I am unsure if that could adversely affect visibility. On your bike the amber signal is the only color seen from the side, so it would definitely have a visual impact.

 

I am likely changing those signals and the tail to clear / smoked which will certainly change the look a bit.

I am still leaning towards the copper since anodized blue is done often on other bikes. You don't really see that copper out there.

We'll see ... still mulling it over.

So, here's the color of the bronze metallic powder coat I think I'm going to do ... I think this photo is as good as it's going to get to capture how it really looks:

The right shade of Copper would work very well with the gray VFR. What color doesn't go with metallic gray... Man that purple in a candy color just might be the ticket.

 

Yah, leopard print purple is hawt ....

 

I think the copper looks cool, but I actually really liked the mockup where the copper was ONLY on the spokes, and the rims remained black.
