Just bought my first bike, VF500F, exhaust help please!

I would doubt that the C collector box will fit. It's the same engine but looking at the two the F has indentions that I assume are for clearance that the C doesn't have.

My old 750 Magna was capped off on one side when I got it, put god knows how many miles on it and it never gave a problem, well the can eventually broke and fell off after YEARS of vibrations. Having ridden a V4 of the same type both ways I can honestly say it really didn't hurt the 750. It did have much more useable mid range and the tach needle didn't climb as fast once past 8k rpm. If you have to pass an emissions test where you are it will actually help you. If you've ever seen a 96-06 GM mini van there is a 50% chance I had a direct hand in the exhaust system. You can also include the Saturn Sky/Pontiac/Opel what ever it was, F-150 trucks, the list goes on.
