Welcome to Iowa, after a month or so of cold we have a one day window of awesome "today" for a good ride. Good thing I haven't gotten around to winterizing my bike.

I'm in the same boat in NY. Tomorrow and Monday are supposed to be sunny and near 70, but I put my bike up last weekend. I should have waited .........

I guess I probably shouldn't talk about how I live in a place where I can ride all year around and actually prefer to ride during winter...

It is snowing here at the moment.
The cool thing about north central Arizona is that when the sun comes up in the morning, that snow will melt.
The next few days are supposed to be in the 60s again. I may even ride to Phoenix for Thanksgiving.

I am not helping, am I?

I didn't even get to ride on the last nice day. I went out to my shop and did all my checks ( fluids, tires ect), then I pull my bike and my buddies bike outside, start his bike up to warm it up and to see if its running ok. Well when I tried to start mine It has a dead battery. So I hoook it up to my charger/maintainer and it says the battery is crapped out :( a new battery takes a day to charge. So ride canceled fml

I'm in SC. Most days it's warm enough for me to ride to work. When it drops down the the low 30's though, the bike goes into my workshop and I drive my gas hog. :-(

At least you got to ride your bikes. I just picked mine up last week and now she's mocking me from the garage where she will sit till the spring. If I can wait that long. Might have to take her around the block a few times.

This year the snow arrived early in the French Alps - there has been almost half a metre of snow outside my garage in Chatel since late October. Subsequently snowploughs have helpfully heaped a bank of snow right across all the garage the entrances so it would take several hours digging to just get the door open. So the garage door is staying shut until Spring :(

Next spring the first really massive biking event locally is the annual Spadino Memorial Ride to through the Mont Blanc Tunnel at the end of March. If the local roads are mostly free of snow I will head over with a shovel the night before to clear the snow, hook up the battery and check she fires up as usual. After a winter layoff it never seems willing to fire first time - but it always seems to respond second time around.

Hope you folks enjoy your pre-winter rides!
