    Hi Clint
Was that the one that was 'round at Coffs Motorcycles last week??
Heard they had one in, so I called in on Saturday morning to have a look over it, and they told me it had gone.....
You will have to call in at Gloria jeans on Saturday to have a chat to some other VFR owners
    Happy riding...

Yes mate, that was it. It's the only one they've had and got it in for me on spec. I rode it and bought it. I've only put a few hundred kms on it at this stage.

Might catch you at GJ's on the weekend or in the future.

    Cheers,

Hi y'all. Havent posted for a while. Just traded my 08 VFR for a new 010 800. TOTALLY RAPPED. Heading over to Tassy in 3 weeks time. Am sure hoping the Great Ocean road to Melbourne will be nice and dry by then, plus favourable weather in Tasmania. Sure to be 3 glorious weeks holiday either way!!!!!!! Chow for now...

Howdy Redex, Cosmetics are the main difference!! Gold wheels, and everywhere that was silver (frame, forks, swingarm etc. is black with a smooth coating) makin it easier to clean. Badging is silver as opposed to black, plus what appears to be 10 more coats of clear. Im sure there was some internal mechanical improvements too. The gearbox on the 08 was sloppy from day dot and hard to find first on a sudden stop. This one is tight as, and I have no trouble with dropping down thru 99% of the time. The 08 was a great bike, but as with the 09 model, this color coding, just looks new all the time ---awesome. Check out the OEM website. It was the great change over price that sealed it for me! Cheers.

    Thanks Webber.

I hear what you are saying, but I like the plain aluminium (silver) bits of frame and also the silver wheels. The only thing I currently don't like is where my knees are scratching the paint on the tank. Otherwise, it's all good and I'll be keeping it for at least a couple of years yet. I'm actually not looking forward to the "what will I get next" because I reaally find the VFR1200 not to my liking and there isn't anything else at the moment that is. Maybe a Kawasaki Z1000? or is that a dirty word?

Redex, No dramas on the color choice. Everyone to their own man!!! The 'next bike' is not even in my vocabulary so yes KKKKKK 1000000 on a VFR site !!!! Shame on you. The 1200 is growing on me, but I plan to keep this one TDDUP. My dri-riders always mark the tank when I wear them-long tours-cover with protective film asap mate. Those scuff marks wouldn't disappear with polish. Along with all the other small scratches etc., I upgraded the VFR to start afresh. Catch YA.

No, got a real clutch lever... don't get me wrong, I had a semi auto FJR and a semi auto Spyder... BUT, to me, it's just another thing to go wrong.
    Thanks for the welcome...
