    G'day, Andy from WA (Perth).
Recently acquired a 2001 Gen5 with just over 13k on the clock.
Since photo was taken, I have fitted a Hurricane handlebar conversion.

Hi Andy,Nice Bike mate. Can you send a pic of the Hurricane Kit fitted.? I am a standard purest ,but exploring other add ons . A mate in the UK said he fitted a Gas Rear shock and mirror extenders. I’m looking at Mirror extenders , as I’m not the skinniest. Haha I have my manual now and will give her its first service since buying . It has 35k on the clock and although there is nothing wrong,I just wish to do a proper service. Thinking about the screen they make in Germany for it also. I’m undecided on handlebars, hence I’m asking you about your kit. My last bike (2002) was a ST1100 , But I always wanted more of a sports bike. Anyway, catch up here soon.

Gday Warren, welcome to the VFR fraternity!
I also like to keep as close to standard as possible, but sometimes there's a requirement to make a bike a bit more comfortable on long rides. I'm 6'1" in the old language, and will be 71 in 2 weeks and the body ain't quite what it used ta was!!:(
So....on the advice of a bike club colleague I purchased the Hurricane handlebar kit. I also bought a set of lowered pegs from the US which makes the whole experience more enjoyable!
Anyway, here's a couple of pics of the handlebar kit.
    Cheers, Andy
