Just a thought but we should all get together one weekend this summer! Any thoughts on where to meet or grab a bite to eat somewhere then maybe go for a rip?! Or vice-versa.

No problem Chuck good that there is one more VFR showing up at night for riding around the city at Merivale/Meadowlands! Ya once you buy a Sargent seat you'll never want to use your stock seat again but it's good to have a spare!

    Cheers...

Ya I might be going to Calabogie on Sunday! If I do I'm probably going to leave home to get there for around 12 to 12:30 noon!

    Cheers...

Any O.P.P. while running those roads I hear they we're out in force around nailing bikes for just 10 over. I left Calabogie early so I wouldn't get caught up in all the crap!

I went north from Calabogie and only saw an OPP electronic speed sign. None of the boys in blue.

Hello, people, I'm Joe of Ottawa (Merivale/Viewmount area).

Just off the phone with the seller of my new (for me) '99.

I'm buying from him (great guy 55 years old) as the second owner and he kept the bike mint.

My wife has a little black Ninja (just about to take her MTO course) so I'm looking forward to escaping our 4 kids for riding jaunts every once and a while! Looking forward to learning more about the bike in my ownership (last bike was a Zephyr 1100).

Anyway, hope to see some of you around!

Think I saw you at the Timmy parking lot just last week chatting with another person on a red sportbike! Small world (you may or may not have seen me...I slowed to checkout your rides then put the hammer down on my silver Magnum SRT-8 and blazed off).

As stated earlier, we should all plan a ride somewhere some Saturday. Kingston for lunch via Hwy 7? Thoughts?

I'd be keen if I am able to escape the 4 kids and leave my wife with them for a while...

Highway 7 is kinda boring. I know a route or two via the back country roads.

Hey guys - just found out my helmet and gloves were stolen right outta the garage, so if you could keep your eyes open I'd appreciate it.

Missing a matte black Icon mainframe helmet with alpinestars stickers, one on each side along the lower edge of the helmet, with a silver reflective faceshield.

Also a pair of shorty black deerhide Alpinestars gloves (non-gauntlet style).

    Thanks,
    Brandon

Thanks, at least I get to check out the new helmets. I'm looking at the Shoei's they've got at newenough this time (particularly the RF-1000). I'll probably hit up Goodtime and try some on, I can't imagine trying to buy one online.

I'm in Orleans, in the land of little punks.

    Those little effers!

Anyway, regarding fitment, that's 'zactly what we did...find the proper helmet at a local store then buy on line.

Kind of mean to waste anyones time so we let them know right away what were doing and they seemed to appreciate it enough that they didn't mind helping (of course, it was nice and quiet at the time...not sure if I'd want to do it on a busy Saturday). Saves about $700 overall for two helmets, two jackets and a set of glasses.

We did buy our Scala Q2, gloves etc. at the Goodtime Centre though in return. There's some stuff I just wouldn't want to buy on line.

Q: What's the deal? Was the garage open often? Was stuff in plain view or hanging from your mirrors or what? I'd be right pissed.

I've spent enough at Goodtime to alleviate any potential guilt, no worries there ;) Plus they lost a fairing bolt during my winter service so I kind of owe them one.

In terms of the garage, I had just come back for a ride.. Left the door open for an hour or so to let the fumes out, sat the helmet on a bin near the entrance to the garage. Went in to make dinner, and that was that.

Well.. I picked up a new helmet -- found a Shoei RF-1000 in Anthracite for a good price. In case anyone's in the market, the new Honda motorcycle dealership in Kanata is selling them for about $100 cheaper than everyone else - even newenough wouldn't have been cheaper. They have the TZ-Rs for $299 and the RF-1000s for $399 which is a good deal for sure.

I'm back on the saddle! (now to charge that battery)
