I'm a NE rider in Preston, CT. Cobwebs are coming off. Thought I would throw something out there for what it is worth. If you can get the time off and feel like taking a 1000 mile road trip- I am planning to visit Bardstown, KY for BourbonFest. Leaving September 15th or maybe 14th. Camping along the way, and while there. Meeting some family members there. If you would like to come along, a riding partner would make it more fun. (There will be no banjo playing on this trip. Drinking bourbon is required.)
Someday I'd really like to take a long trip. I'm envious. Sorry that family obligations won't permit at this time. But, depending on when/if you're passing through NJ and feel like taking a quick breather, I'd meet you for some coffee/lunch and maybe keep you company for a little while. Maybe if you can't find someone to go the whole length, you can meet up with other members for various legs of your trip?
