I have installed the Two Brothers " The Stash " exhaust on my 2002 VFR and love the look / sound and extra storage space. I can put a bottle of wine in the fake ;)

Iinstalled a set of staintunes on my '03 VFR a year ago. Hemmed and hawed on which set to get, but I'm very satisfied with them, regardless of the price. BTW.......ride with the spud out for better sound.

I got me a set of Lasers and I love it.If you are talking about a nice V8 sound this would be it. Looks great!!!As far as sound at higher speeds with any pipes you will not hear the roar factor (when on the bike) with V4 unless, you are behind the bike.

    two brothers

I see that the two brothers web site now has 2 different pipes for the VFR 1) "The Stash" 2) "Dual V.A.L.E.™ Slip-Ons ". How do they sound and any performance gain? I am leaning more on the Dual V.A.L.E.™ Slip-Ons than the The Stash for visual reasons.

I run Staintunes on my '02 VFR. They sound good, but at track days I have the quietest bike out there. I met a guy the other day at Deals Gap who had stock pipes BUT had removed the cap at the weld, took the guts out of the mufflers and then spot welded the caps back on.
The thing sounded like a Fountain open ocean powerboat! Awesome sound, kind of like two Ducatis coming down the road at the same time. I'm really tempted.

old thread but i have the staintunes on an 04. they are alot louder and have great sound if you take the baffle out of them. small screw either on top at end of pipe or under pipe end. Little tug on the insert and they come right out....

I cant decide on removing my exhaust baffle or not. Ive heard some good things about the sound but once its out, its out.

Poke a hole in your cannister, headres too!

Just poke a few holes in your cannister with a screwdriver and saw a chunk out of your header.

You'll only lose a few horsepower and the detriment to your engine will take a little time to show up.

The folks on the base will love it!

    More power and better sound

I put a set of Microns Titanium pipes on my '02. All my friends who ride 'other' bikes say I have the baddest sounding bike around. The pipes felt like they weighed less than the cardboard box they came in so I saved a ton of weight! I also gained 10hp and 6.5lb-ft. on the dyno.

    Leo Vince

You may want to think about Leo Vince pipes. I put them on my 2005 VFR. They sound great. Fit & finish is awesome. Check them on Leo Vince site.

The StainTunes are low tone with the baffles in. Take the baffles out and it rumbles nicely and sounds great above 7k rpm.... Two screws under the exhaust and the baffles slide right out.

I noticed in some of the pics I've seen of Microns installed on the VTEC VFR's that the pipe behind your heel doesn't have a heat shield. Has that been a problem of you Micron owners with melted shoes? I'm interested in getting them but my foot is so long (size 15) that my heel is always on that heat shield.
