Can I flip my rear shock tri plates to drop my 96 about an inch? Or is that only for the 800?
I also want to drop my fork tubes a little , maybe an inch or less .
    Any recommended methods ? Thanks,MM

You can rotate also. I don't know how much that lowers though. You might have to alter or replace the side stand too after either way of lowering.

just keep riding and pretend the bike isn't too tall for you, the longer you ride your bike the smaller it feels. 10mm is the most you could safely move the forks.

Found some of the issues. The chain was adjusted by rolling the axle to the bottom instead of the top of the eccentric. That lowered it by about 1,25 in.
The forks preload screw was full in. Backed it out a few turns. Much softer , much nicer.
The rear spring worm gear was screwed up about 1/4 in or more. Let it down to flush . Another 1/2 in in the rear now. Now it is pretty good . I can flat foot the bike and it rides very nice. Next is a fresh set tires.
I may flip the tri plate and see how I like it ,
