I grew up in the flat, brown, scrub land on North Texas. A scene like that, in person, would probably short my brain out.

As soon as I win the lottery, my bike and I will be there. I am willing to risk my sanity for scenery such as that.

I'll see your VTR and raise you another VTR on a fine warm day just before Christmas.

By the way, we have to pay for our bouts of nice winter weather. There were tornadoes all over the place last night. We just missed one that ran a couple of miles to the West. Rowlettt TX was hit and they had a couple touch down in Sherman. To top it all off is has been raining hard all night with lots of booming thunder and lightning and flooding.

Looking at the signage, I strongly recomend staying to your right. But that's up to you of course. Don't want to force my wishes on you.

Ya know I almost jumped on one after the Duc episode. Something about twins, now only if they would have had the RC51 engine. Those Super hawks still have great lines, love the simplistic look to em. Nice bike there, that looks like eastern Wa. Now how'd' that corner work out for ya?

I love my Superhawk. It is night and day different from my VFR. It is a hoot to ride but not for long. The seating position is like cheap hotel, no ballroom.

Had 2 RC-51's 2000 & a 2001 Awesome bikes best I've ever ridden! Although the 1999 VTR was a better street bike! The 2001 had lots of factory updates I traded my 2000 for the 2001 thinking it would be the cats meow. IMHO it wasn't the bike the 2000 was

I bought my 1997 Superhawk super cheap, like $1800 of your US dollars, and have spent some time and (too much) money tidying it up with a few parts off various auction sites and some new bits. It now has great brakes, very capable suspension and makes proper V-twin noises. Jim's right that it does not have the relaxed riding position of the VFR, it is a little short on leg room, has slightly lower bars and a seat that holds you in one place. However it has a locomotive engine that for whatever reason runs much happier than the VFR at really low revs, and has massive midrange, and aside from 1-2, a very nice gearbox. I'd rate the handling a bit ahead of the VFR being a little more stable. I may be riding it like an old fart but I get pretty good fuel consumption too. What's not to like?

That's a pretty spot on assessment however, mine has a set of Two Brothers cans and jetting to match. Maybe it's because I tend to ride it like I stole it but I get pretty horrible fuel mileage. That, coupled with the peanut tank and it make for a pretty short range ride. Also, the transmissions are night and day between the VFR and the VTR. On videos I have made, riding the Superhawk, you can hear the audible "clunk" as shift up or down. After an extensive stint on the VTR I took the Interceptor out and couldn't tell if I had shifted seeing as how the VFR gear box was so much tighter and the gear selector throw so much more compact. If you needed a fun second bike you can't go wrong with a VTR. I love mine. For all you riders outside the US, Honda made the Varadaro dual sport on the VTR chassis. They never sold it here.
