Less bulky header may work on a gen3 bike, I know the speedo drive is different than the gen3s thats driven off the counter sprocket.

Smaller carburetors, and a thinner rear wheel? I would put my 91 up against any gen4 bike you could dig oot of Buffalo road racing or the drag strip. :pound: :pound: :pound: :pound::pound: :pound: :pound: :pound::pound: :pound: :pound: :pound::pound: :pound: :pound: :pound:

Actually, the 4th gen OEM header WILL work on the 3rd gen, IF you do not want the factory center stand on the 3rd gen. No center stand, no biggie. Same for all 4th gen exhaust systems, including the fabled left exit system.

I believe there were some improvements to the valve train.

Having owned a 3rd gen. and presently a 4th gen. the differences for me are. 4th gen. is faster, handles better, better gas mileage. Other than that there's not much difference between them.
