We pulled the Radian in the game room this weekend to finish it up. Builtside covers out of ABS black sheet & finished all the wiring. I call it done.

Love the paint scheme. Nice job on the ride. Not dissin' your work, but the side covers need a better fit/finish along with the blue and white paint scheme (my opinion of course). Great job on the project.

Nicely rebuilt, Yamahas are the best looking of the Naked Retros. I saw a XJR1300 a few weeks ago with a Thruxton like tank stripe on a dark metalic blue tank similar to belows pic looked smick.

OK, REAL PAIN IN THE ASS NOW. The carbs had Issues. Dumping fuel out the intakes. So I figure "float needles". Tore them off, again, cleaned EVERYTHING, again, and reinstalled. SAME THING! I guessing bad floats and float vales.. OK.... Now can I find a rebuild kit for a set of 1986 YX600 Carbs???? NOOOO! Any input on a sorce for these parts would be a big help. Thanks!

OK, this thread was a new find for me tonight and was really enjoying it and then I think that I must have stepped into the Nixon oval office and the last seventeen minutes of tape got erased (year and a half actually) WTH?
Sorry about the carbs. I spent more money on putting different parts into my 93TDM than I'd care to admit, then found a brand new set(of carbs) on EBAY for less than I had invested in the parts! Never could get it quite perfect (almost) so sold it and bought the VFR. Got to love fuel injection!
Nice build, good luck with the carbs, and where's my last year and a half read?
PS, many thanks to your daughter.
    John

Really like what you are doing with it. Engine looks loads better. Guessing you used epoxy on those broken bolt mounts near the cams. Should hold.

Congratulations to your daughter. I graudated BT in 1985. Currently a LTC about to PCS to Belgium.

Thanks for all of the pics. Very inspirational.

let's see... Brat graduated then went to Afganistan the bike probably only has a couple thousand miles on it since it was finished and it has been left idle foe a wee bit of time......

AND hubby is a big brownturd for letting the bike sit any length of time whilst Brat has been away.....Just sayin'....

Just realized I only read the first page of this thread. Went back and caught up. Love the look. All that new paint and such made the seat look like it needed attention, but if it isn't being ridden anyhow...

I can only ride so many bikes at once. But of the 4 carbed bikes, 2 were jacked up. Gotta love Obama Ethonol. Corn is just killing these carb bikes. The XS400 chopper had the same fail. It's fixed, the Kiddo's Radian its the problem child now

Thank your daughter for her service ok....I remember them Radians when they were show-room new. Suited for a smaller person, amazing how all the old shit just disapears off the face of the planet...Glad you rez-er-rected one. You got the best name here yah know...but you sold out! you gave your viffer to the old lady and you turn-coated to an FZ1

Some old bastard once said to me, "you ride that bike nice, your married to it after all." Had mine since 1995, never gona divorce it :nelson:
