Hi all. I would like to share the start of my journey with this refurb project of mine.
Object: Honda VFR RC24 1987 (40k km on the clock)

The motorcycle was not used for a number of years. It was more than likely standing outside (so rain, UV rays etc. were constantly degrading it condition even further). Nonetheless, I have decided to buy it, save it from being taken apart for spare parts.

Here's are some initial pictures from the ad:

Nice, plenty to do, get some toothpaste on the headlight and screen to polish those up

    Bad points:
    - no key (as it's still in the hands of its original owner - Netherlands. But... the key is already on it's way)
    - missing two front exhaust headers (rear ones are in place)
    - missing exhaust can (I have already bought the one from pictures - Laser exhaust SS as it was sold separately)
    - broken off front wheel valve (no air)
    - general condition (well... at first glance, it definitely has seen better days, some plastics are broken etc.)
    - there's a dent in the tank RHS front
    - clutch seems not working properly (leaver very soft)
    - front suspension rubber caps are fucked, some rust marks on the outside lip. The surface of the fork itself (chromed element) is good, so there's hope for a refurb job on those at this stage.

Basically many parts require a slight refurb job. Not all the panels are great but will try to save what I can.

There's plenty more photos to come as for today, the bike is almost completely stripped. Will keep you posted guys on the project.
