On "choke" (enrichened) they RUN at about 2-3k. I don't normally think of that as idle, but I guess so. ;-) Also, I know what he meant, I was just being a dick.

Yes I speak poorly and my picture does not match my words. Lol
Either way, a road test is needed, but I feel like the rectifier was the problem.
Maybe Sunday test ride into town.

    Seance. It was easier.
We swapped rectifier back and forth a couple of times to verify readings. Clearly getting replicative good measurements out of the new rectifier. O hope the road test proves positive and I can finally label the bike rideable.

Finally got to test ride (commute) on the RVF. Looking good after arrival. 13.19v . Now she can be part of the commute club! 12.8 at the ignition the whole ride. Which hopefully means I can focus on the other 400 and address the suspension mid next year. Yeahh!! Oh and my son totally digs the bodywork, so if the Hawk works out as a training first moto, he can elevate to this bike down the road. :)

To be honest, those numbers wouldn't thrill me. Hopefully it's in the "just enough" range.

^^ I agree, but for now with a little bit of monitoring this should hold me over the winter. I really should have hooked the monitor up to the battery direct to see what the battery is receiving when charging, I will extend those wires down at a later point.

New RMSTATOR New Aftermarket Honda Voltage Regulator Rectifier, RM30B01 ordered. RO recommends this before I get all involved in other wiring/alt items. Found a company out of Canadia selling it for a super reasonable price. Can't wait to get it and see how she goes. I really want this bike to work out.

My new recommended Reg/Rec has arrived. I can put it in on Friday and hope it solves my charging issues. Yew..maybe....

Hell yeah! She is ready for Seca, whenever I get back to the track. All systems go! Did a 30 mile ride to get fuel up my canyon road which has brand new asphalt the entire way. So smooth, both the road and bike. I dialed out the front end entirely and next weekend I will dial out all the preload in the shock. Eventually rebuild front end for my size and get a newer fancy rear shock. Hit 15555 km on the gauge. Yeww, my favorite number. Really like my Tai Chi gloves from Japan.

Last ride for 2023. Just managed to stay dry. Damn, this bike is a hoot! I feel like I am going 180 through the Isle of Man. Instead, I am only going 111 down my cold empty back roads. See you peeps next year!

Are USD forks any worse then standard for rebuilds? More special tooling? More difficult components to take apart?

Basically I have a leaking seal on the 35 (USD) and I was just looking for "send it out" or " do it myself". I am down for trying to do it myself, but just nervous as usual. lol.

Same concept really, just up side down. They will be cartridge, but it doesn't mean they are harder to replace seals and inspect bushings on (imo). Just pay attention to the order of things as you take them apart.
