I'll let you all know I purchased from Fay Myers to Cali. Honda reassured it can be registered in CALI no problem. Buy it there and ship through R&T transport. you'll save thousands.

Holy shit, I think you take the deal of the group PERIOD! Great buy! I was close at getting this price in Wisconsin but with travel and all the bullshit three dealers gave me about being onsite to buy and or BS shipping polices supposedly by Honda Etc... and so on it came down to me showing the prices around to my local dealer still listing the bike at $12,999 and did not know that on the Honda web site they where discounting them at $10,999. I did not even know that 2 models existed. All I saw was 2014 VFR 800

Just a quick note to those looking at gen 8's: I was talking to one of the local east coast Honda shops and they mentioned that Honda Distribution in MD was packaging ten various '14 & '15 Hondas in a lot, and auctioning them off to dealers to try and make space in the warehouse. Knowing this, last month I picked up my third VFR in 24 years, a '14 deluxe with 0 miles. Tax, tags, and everything, out the door for $8,500. The deals are out there!

Several manufacturers have been producing California compliant bikes and cars. Mercedes-Benz got the ball rolling. Off loading street bikes in California Ports that are non compliant could be expensive. The manufacturers know this all too well. Ships also offload bikes and cars at ports North of California and up into Canada.

Since the newer VFRs also are offloaded in East Coast Ports of Entry (POEs) maybe a contributor could shed some light on the subject of emissions.

Pics of new bikes are for dudes who need stimulus for the production of nocturnal emissions.

My '92 and the new '14 that I couldn't pass up. Even at 25 years old, she still looks stylish; they both have some classic lines!

My 2014 DLX was 7800 OTD.
I bought 3 years more warranty for ~500 bucks or so? it came out to 8332.

we'll see if that helps with VFR electrickery that seems to always crop up ;)

That's a killer deal for a deluxe. And is the top DEAL PERIOD FOR A DELUXE! my dealer never even talked to me about an extended warranty. Is this extension with Honda or a outside company? I would have paid $500 for this if by Honda Motor Corp. I am just know hearing about this "electrickery" you mention as well as others on previous gens and this is killing me. Honda is know for reliability unlike other brands. I hope that they fixed it for our bike. Take Care and good buy!
