Honda have changed the look of the new VFR, Silver fork legs, black frame and revised exhaust

If this doesn't stop sales nothing will

It looking more and more like a CBR.
One thing I love about the VFR is that its look has been "beefier" than other Honda sport models.

At least they stayed away from the unecessary double side exhaust.
But what do I know? I'm sure the 250rr really needs it.

Well, it's not really a 'sport' model to be quite fair. It's a 'sport touring' ... heavier and taller than the 'sport' counterparts - hence the beefier look / feel.

While I wish they would add fully adjustable suspension, give it 20 extra ponies, and shed 50 lbs (a pipe dream I know), if I was in the market for a VFR the changes listed mentioned would not dissuade me from purchase. Plus, I kinda be digging a silver bike. I guess they still make the VFR in the Europe, as the USA Honda page still says 2014/2015. We no get the funs.

I dont have a sport bike?! All this time and I thought I was riding a sport bike?! And I had no idea what characteristics made the VFR different than a pure sport?! SMH, I'm a horrible VFR owner.

I was just comparing it's look to Honda's other sport models...not saying it was a sport only model.

The main point was: I love the VFR's beefier look.

Seems like the VFR is being slicked down more and more. It likely will never be as small the CBR, but to me the VFR is losing its iconic look. I love my 6th gen, but the look of the 5th gen will always have my <3. JMO

*Although the photo was just a profile and I cannot fairly judge its size as I haven't seen this new model in person. I think the new model is pretty, but would have to lay my eyes on it to construct a fair opinion.

DriverDave ... did you find the 8th gen feels more 'slim' compared to previous generations?

I got to sit on one a few times, it felt almost slimmer / smaller than previous iterations.

    Who's not being nice here?
We're having a discussion and I almost get the impression that you're getting bent ... don't let that volunteer moderator job go to your head. :D

I sat on the 8th gen once in a dealership. I think you were there, Derstuka. Weren't we up near Sacramento or something? It felt about the same as the 5th gen position and size wise to me. It even reminds me of the 5th gen in looks. I thought it was a fine looking bike and if I was looking for a sport tourer, it would be under consideration if nothing else just for the fact that the V4 has a pleasing exhaust note while other sport tourers not so much.

Personally I think it looks damn good! At least it's not red. Enough with the damn red already! I was recently looking for a new bike and found a 2015 deluxe with 1200 miles. Dealer was asking $7900. We talked for a bit apparently it had been sitting on the showroom floor for awhile with very little interest and they just wanted it gone. I seriously thought about it but couldn't handle owning yet another red motorcycle. If it'd had been white I'd be riding a vfr now.

AM, you don't own a sport bike? Yours looks just like mine (might even be the same year). I own a sport bike.

My 8th gen is definitely thinner than my 2003 6th gen, but I am not!

Same bike different color, no mechanical changes.

I was just surprised you hadn't seen one during all of your long distance riding adventures, and meeting so many other Viffers. I didn't mean to offend at all.
    I think you're great!

Yeah, we sat on some at Roseville Honda, if I remember correctly. I actually dig the looks of it, and seating position. I just have my same gripes as always. Would I buy one? Maybe. If I couldn't snag another low mileage mint condition 5th gen first. Gear-driven cams be my first love....
