Ruth's Chris is good. In Seattle parking will cost ya damn near as much as a TBone or Porterhouse. Great wine list but lots of cops downtown just cruising for diwidudes.

A great steak of any cut for about half and a great beer list as long as it's Lone Star is in Waco, Texas. The Lone Star Grill. Where the chickenfried steaks with pan gravy are made from filet mignon. If you arrive by bike, bring a flatted out pop or beer can for your sidestand, the last time I was there, the parking lot was gravel.

I read your posts about this bike, with confusion. You rode a Harley for 5 years. You think this VFR is fantastic, but too much bike for you because it is so fast and you can't control yourself. So you want to buy an ST which is a much bigger bike, but you have never ridden one.

Seeing as you have had multiple GSXR's according to one of your posts, I don't understand how you find the VFR such a fast bike. It's sure not slow, but compared to a gsxr, pretty humdrum performance wise. I say this because I have a VFR and a GSXR1000, my third. One of the things I like about the VFR is that you can ride it slow, it doesn't take off on the merest whiff of throttle, whereas riding the GSXR slow is almost impossible.

Why do I feel that your posts, and talk of how fantastic and fast the VFR are, smack merely of a ploy to sell it quickly to people who already know what a fine bike it is.

No offence intended, just my thoughts.

I think he means its too much bike with regard to performance, not size. The ST won't perform as well as a VFR or egg on the kind of riding the VFR does. He's not saying he can't handle the bike, he just can't restrain himself while riding it thus risking many tickets, jail time, or injury...

Weiss is correct. If I sell it quickly that's alright too but it is not a ploy other than I knew a forum enthusiast would appreciate such a pristine bike.

Now it comes out. Getting dead or tickets on an ST isn't gonna happen. Isn't that amazing?

Its clear that no explanation will be fully understood or accepted. I think I have made my self more than clear. I hope no one is getting the vibe that I am dissing on the VFR, its a pretty brilliant bike. It is not a GSXR1000, which quite frankly are SOLELY built and sold to ASSAULT traffic laws, but there is no denying the VFR can get out of its own way and there is no doubt that when I am riding it I am looking for holes in traffic, sweepers, chicanes and the like. I also know that I have a propensity for shiny things. Scuba may find out for himself, but there is something about a super clean low mileage bike that just says "take me home" I am sure that has never happened to any of you. :eagerness:

I hear what you're saying about shiny things...I can barely contain myself at strip clubs with all the glitter going on there.

I just had a 6th gen scream take me home (and I listened), and it wasn't completely shiny and wasn't very low mileage, so I completely understand. Bikes to me are like every shelter dog out there, I wanna bring them all home and love them the way the should be loved. Call me a softy.

I am like that with bikes. I wanted a bike so bad when I was a kid all bikes look good to me. I have brought home some really rough bikes because they just needed a good home. Most paid me back in total enjoyment.

So are you saying that there should be a "no test pilots till cash is in hand" policy here? :potstir:

You think Scoob is gonna ball it up?????? I never let people test ride bikes, that is like asking to get hit the face with a hammer. That said, I never buy sketchy crap either so never really a prob.

In between VFRs I put about 30k miles on a ST1100. Even those things can slip up to triple digit speeds before you notice. You can ride either like a moped with the right mind set. Find a buyer and swap out bikes 3 or 4 times a year until you find your keeper. I'd like to have owned one of each of all the sweet Hondas before they throw the dirt on.
