I just moved to Temple TX a couple days ago. Looking to ride some.
Welcome to TX
I'm from Corpus Christi down on the Gulf Of Mexico, I ride a 97 VFR and have a riding buddy who also lives in Corpus Christi that rides an 04 VFR
i'm here in temple, what kind of riding you looking for? there some sort of wavy roads close and in town some long straights to blow the gunk out of it also.
Anything to get to know the area. Got any rides mapped out? Or do you just wing it?
i usually just wing it, ive only been in the area a year so i dont really have a set patern, i just take into consideration what kind of mood im in and go from their
hey i am in austin, not too far from temple. there are some good roads to ride out to the hill country... fredericksburg, kerville, beorne, and even down to new braunfels / canyon lake.
I live in Killeen, TX. We should all meet somewhere in central TX and go for a ride sometime. -David.
good idea ive gone down to S.A. on 281, to C.C. on 77. some good roads just need to be found.
Matt - we're going to miss you up here in Syracuse, however, this time of year, the only thing you'll be riding are snowmobiles. I'm guessing you have a year round riding season in Temple.
It was good to ride with all of you this year. Best of luck!!!
Its a great Idea to all meet up and ride. If I could have everyone send me there names, email add, what year bike you have, and phone number I will organize a list and send it out to you all. Send to firstname.lastname@example.org
I did see a black 02-07 VFR on my street at about 5:15pm. I was in my car driving home from work. Nice ride. you where right next to my apartment.
brown jacket, no rear foot pegs? that was me, i was playing in traffic. the bike was easier to manuver in holiday traffic.
You should stop by. Nice ride!
Unless you're moving to Austin, check your brains at the state border, unless you're from Missippi, in which case, don't bother!!
I am also in Killeen. We need to plan a ride.
road to work yesterday morning, i checked the temp. it was down to 24, no wonder the gate guard gave me a funny look. ive got another acft now . i dont see myself getting off work til late now.
Its a great Idea to all meet up and ride. If I could have everyone send me there names, email add, what year bike you have, and phone number I will organize a list and send it out to you all. Send to email@example.com If you do not want to leave your number just omit it!!!!!!!!!!
Please Email me this information so we can get started!!
a couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine and I went down hwy 67 through cleburne, and found that it merged with 377 and ran straight to Dublin, TX (if you havent been to dublin, not only is it a gorgeous ride down, but its a GREAT stop...espically if your a dr pepper addict like me!). from there, we rode further down 67 to Comanche, and hit this little stretch of road called hwy 16....no cops, no cars hardly, and LOTS of open space....you can really ride it like a sportbike out on 16. after that, we made it to 183 which took us straight to austin.
2.5 hours down 35 to austin, or 10.5 hours using the central texas back roads....gee, thats a hard choice >
anytime that folks want to schedule a ride, im in SW DFW and im up for it anytime!
Slyke I am sending you an email with my info. I have an 02 silver and my cousin has a 07 RWB. We live in the little town of LaGrange. About in the middle of Austin and Houston. About hour and a half from SA. Right in the middle of it all. Lets go riding one day...
Well.......GOD BLESS TEXAS!!!
