Seems to me VFR4464 is using this forum and probably others to help him make his decision which bike he should buy. It doesnt sound like he's ridden much less owned any of the bikes he's mentioned, but is strictly going on what he's read on the net and the defensive replies to his baseless pot stirrings. Trolling is no way to go through life, VFR4464.

I have been riding street bikes for 24yrs and have ridden many different models, but my favorite is the interceptor. I have owned 4 different Honda interceptors over the years and in my opinion nothing comes close to the DO IT ALL V4 powered Interceptor..Many bike of the year awards won by the Interceptor ..HHmmm i have not seen the cbr1000 win such an award LOL..

In my book you are just a sqiudly idiot who dont know crap about bikes and is nothing but talk . The V4 engine produces great torque/HP that are rider friendly for everyday use on the street/track . The cbr series is made for the Win on sunday/sell on monday with the 18-20 yr old crowd who see a bike winning races must be the best...

My nephew jason owns a zx10, my bro inlaw owns a ZX-14,my nephew kevin owns a VTR1000, and all of them after riding my 99 VFR say that it a sweet ride and if they had not bought the bikes they have they would own a VFR.Hell even my ex wife who had a fj1100/ and now has a FZ1 is thinking about rading for a 2000 VFR ..

You need to decide how you want to ride wether it be sport/ sport touring /touring...I think you actually need to buy a 250/500 ninja to start on and learn more about bikes before bashing certain models .

The cbr1000 has more hp than a vfr of course due to the 1000 having 200cc more displacement = 1/4 of the total vfr engine displacement.
the vfr is a do it all bike and thats what i like about it ,along with the fact that i dont have to rev the crap out of it to get HP unlike the cbr where it makes peak HP way up in the rpms 8,000-12,000 rpm..

The I4 engine is cheaper to make than the V4 but the reliability and life of the I4 is shorter than a V4...

Just buy the bike you think is best and ride ..Oh by the way I would change nothing about my 99VFR as it just right for me.

Ok. Time to lock this thread. I asked nicely twice to be civil and it seems that this is now not possible. The post above this one could have been made without the name calling. I consider that uncalled for and unnecessary.
