I cant go stuck at work by myself all weekend

My boss is out of town until monday ( took the kids somewhere for the summer break ). I am manning my store solo from yesterday until saturday night. so friggin pissed I cant go. I told him I am missing a big ride over this, and he will give me time off and man the store by himself so I can go on the next one as long as I know 2 weeks in advance.

 

wow, talk about last minute.. thanks UPS. I guess we know what Toe will be doing tonight

have major fun guys, wish i could make it, hopefully ill get in on the next one.

 

Like Toe does not have 6 other bikes to choose from...

Well I just bought one of those bikes from him, so maybe he is down of those six you guys are talkin bout.

My old ass would not do well on the other bikes on such a long ride.Last time I spent the day on second gen my butt felt like it was scrubbed with wire brush and washed with carb cleaner.

Got some new skins today...Dunlop Roadsmarts. They sound (from the tire specs) like a good high mileage sticky tire. And I got them for $120 rear and $106 front...$40 for mounting...I couldn't believe the price. Right here in Sonora at Gold Rush Motorsports. I'll change the oil with Mobil 1 in the morning, lube the chain, and viola, I'm good to go.

Weather is supposed to be hot on Friday in the upper 90's, but cooler on Sat/Sun. Clear skies. Perfect conditions.

Give me an idea when you're going to arrive. I guess it don't matter as I'm here all day regardless. The garage will be ready for the VFR Fest. Beer's in the fridge.

Can't wait. I'll text Toe and give him my cell number. He can forward it to the rest of the Sactown boys. I'll pm you with it, Drewl.

Sorry to notify you all that the saddlebags will not be making an appearance this weekend, however, the license plate will. Less chance of failure this way.

I hope you guys don't mind getting wet. There is a chance of isolated thunderstorm(which means all around Susanville) today. They usually are a couple miles wide and stick to the high country. The bad thing is, all of our roads run along the high country.
