Pearl white Colour code/Name??

I am on my 3rd attempt to get this right.

Does anyone know the correct colour code for a 1991 Honda VFR750F, pearl white?

I have obtained a couple of different 2 stage pearl whites from RS paints, but each time the colour shade of white doesn’t match. NH-193P - pearl crystal white & NH-139P pearl crescent white (I think?)

I have paint matched with another oem panel as I have added coats, but it still isn’t right.

I tried to find the paint code sticker on my bike, but cannot see it

Ok, I have found the sticker/decal.. And I have tried this paint, but it came out darker, more orangey in comparison??
I must be doing something wrong with this 2 stage paint..

 

Honda pearls are notoriously VERY hard to match to original pieces. Whites and reds.

In my experience, it is the clear top coat that will tend to "yellow" the final product on whites. I also sometimes see it on Silver metallic when clear coating, but it is not an issue as I am usually doing a big batch of chassis hardware and I am not trying to match anything.

 

Thanks for the reply.. I totally agree, it’s a nightmare to match. I wish I’d thought about it more, before I decided to repaint these 2 lower, metal panels

I have ordered (again) the correct 2 stage paint NH-193P, so will give it..one..more..try. If I fail again, I’ll send them both to Dream Machine Paints (UK)

I reckon you’re not far wrong with the clear coat stage.. hmm

I also have a low 4900 mile, ZX12R A2, and decided to repaint the candy lime green rear seat cowl. That was also a nightmare to match! You’d think I’d learn
